This program is designed to give players & goalies an opportunity to play hockey through the summer months without the full commitment of being on a team if they choose. Our balanced schedule allows for plenty of opportunity to play other sports and enjoy the precious summer days/weekends in Minnesota.

Summer Hockey is an balanced combination of practice's and games. Our practices have a strong emphasis on skating form & techniques, stick handling, and shooting. It is a positive environment that encourages learning and having fun.

Summer Hockey skates roughly every other week from March to July, with one practice and one game in the same week, typically (Wednesday or Thursdays & Sunday evenings). There will be a total of 20 hours of on ice instruction and games.

Goalie's will be involved in all the practice and game days. A dedicated coach is present for a few of the practices for 1v1 instruction.

Players & goalies will be mixed up for each game session to allow players an opportunity to play with other friends & teammates. Jerseys will be provided before each game at a check in table and must be returned at the end of the game. Players may be moved to the other team during the game to ensure the teams are even and all players are having a positive experience. Full Ice game rules will be followed.

Like all our programs, we limit the number of players we except. We strive for a coach-to-player ratio that allows us to work with each player multiple times throughout the season.
